Chris Phillips

Chris Phillips is a visionary, dynamic, compassionate business leader. As North End Teleservice's (NET) chief operating officer, Chris manages day-to-day operations for the No. 6 fastest-growing organization in Nebraska, according to the 2021 Inc. 5000. He is one of the youngest chief operating officers in the nation. He helps facilitate such North End Teleservices community-engagement activities as Native Omaha Days, and many other community building projects.

Dina Becirovic

Dina Becirovic is the Chief Executive Officer for The Bloc. She serves as the Director of Research & Development at Omaha Insomnia & Psychiatric Service, and as an Adjunct Instructor at the Metropolitan Community College. Dina serves on the External Advisory Board for Creighton University's MPH Program. She is a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is fluent in Bosnian and Serbo-Croatian.

Balkissa Mahamane

Balkissa is a visionary senior executive and Intelligent Automation Manager at NEI Global Relocation. Since March 2020, she has led multiple groundbreaking automation projects in document processing, process mining, robotics, and machine learning. Balkissa excels in balancing process optimization with advanced tools, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and integrating Industry 4.0 technologies.

Abdul Mackie

Abdul Mackie is a respected community leader and nonprofit professional dedicated to fostering collaboration, food security, and interfaith understanding throughout the Omaha community. He currently serves as Community Food Impact Manager at Catholic Charities Omaha, where he works to address hunger and strengthen community partnerships. Previously, Abdul served in leadership roles with the Tri-Faith Initiative, helping advance dialogue, inclusion, and cooperation among diverse faith communities. With more than 16 years of service to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, Abdul is known for his commitment to service, equity, and building meaningful connections that create lasting community impact.

Giovanni Jones

Giovanni Jones is an accomplished educator, human resources leader, and community advocate dedicated to helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential. As Manager of Employee Learning and Development at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), she leads professional development initiatives that support employee growth, leadership development, and organizational excellence. With a background in education and student support services, Giovanni has spent her career creating opportunities for learning, mentorship, and personal empowerment. Known for her creativity, collaborative spirit, and commitment to service, she has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to employee development, diversity initiatives, and community engagement throughout Nebraska. 

Maria Vazquez

Maria Vazquez is a respected business leader whose career reflects both professional excellence and a deep commitment to community service. With experience in international business, she has built a reputation for strong leadership, collaboration, and creating opportunities for others. A proud mentor and dedicated volunteer, Maria passionately advocates for youth and the Hispanic community, helping create pathways for future generations to succeed. Through her mentorship, advocacy, and service, she inspires others to reach their full potential. Sandy Spady is an award-winning leadership coach, speaker, entrepreneur, and community leader dedicated to helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential. With more than 35 years of experience in sales, team development, and leadership, she has built a reputation for empowering professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives to lead with confidence and purpose.

As the founder of Power Up Leadership Coaching and Women with Voices, Sandy has created platforms that inspire personal growth, professional success, and meaningful connections. A passionate advocate for mentorship and community engagement, she is committed to uplifting others through coaching, networking, and service. Her ability to connect people, inspire action, and create lasting impact has made her a respected leader in the Omaha community and beyond.

Tony Veland

Tony's journey is driven by his love for sports and a desire to impact lives positively. Initially drawn to sports for its competitiveness, he discovered its ability to teach life lessons and inspire others. As an advisor, he guided financial stewardship, and as a coach, he instilled essential life skills. Now, as the Director of Business Development at the University of Nebraska Foundation, Tony leverages his experiences to make a difference through education and community development.

Dulce Sherman

Dulce Sherman, Owner and HR Executive Advisor at Sherman Executive Consulting, brings over 30 years of HR leadership experience to nonprofits and businesses. A first-generation American from Mexican immigrant parents, she champions community service and diversity. Dulce holds degrees in HR management and management, along with certifications in Emergenetics. Actively serving on nonprofit boards, she's a leader in civic engagement, currently Vice Chair for the Latinx Caucus for the Nebraska Stat.

Karen Gibler

Karen Gibler has been with the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce since 2012. Her current role at the Sarpy Chamber is President and C.A.O.
