What is Community Bloc/The Bloc, Inc.?
Community Bloc (also known as The Bloc, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Omaha and Lincoln, NE, dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth and seniors through community-driven initiatives and support programs

The organization was founded in 2020, and currently operates with a small team of around 2–10 staff members based in Omaha

Mission: To empower youth and seniors in Nebraska through programs and services that foster connection and purpose.
Vision: To positively impact everyday life across communities by building intergenerational support.

How do I become a sponsor or donor?
As a nonprofit, we welcome sponsors (e.g., Emerald, Diamond, Platinum tiers) and donors via our “Donate” page. Many sponsorship levels include recognition, event tickets, branding, and tax-deductible status.
What volunteer opportunities are available?
We offer a range of volunteer roles—from supporting our award programs and community events to direct service like meal delivery, mask donations, and mental health support. You can explore opportunities under the “Join Our Team” and “Volunteer Services” sections.
What COVID‑19 support programs do you provide?
During the pandemic, The Bloc delivered daily meals, facilitated mask donations, and partnered with local mental health providers (like Omaha Insomnia & Psychiatric Services) to offer free and confidential support.
