Message From Our CEO
Dear Bloc Community,
As I reflect on The Bloc’s journey, I’m filled with immense gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. What began as a bold vision to build a community rooted in equity, empowerment, and innovation has grown into a dynamic movement transforming lives across the Nebraska. Together, we are not only redefining what leadership looks like—but more importantly, who gets to lead.
This year, we’ve gained incredible momentum across every pillar of our work. Our 50 Over 50 NE program continues to spotlight and celebrate seasoned changemakers whose lifelong impact is too often overlooked. These leaders remind us that wisdom is power—and that legacy is a living, evolving force when passed forward.
At the other end of the spectrum, our 20 Under 20 NE honorees are rewriting the rules of what it means to lead at a young age. They are launching ventures, amplifying community voices, and stepping into their power with clarity and conviction. Their brilliance reminds us that leadership has no age limit—and that the future is already here.

In that same spirit, our Personal Board of Directors initiative is empowering individuals to build intentional support systems that foster confident, sustainable leadership. Leadership can often feel isolating—but with the right circle of guidance and accountability, it becomes transformative. In partnership with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, we’re cultivating curated mentorship experiences and structured support that help emerging leaders not only navigate challenges—but truly thrive.
Looking ahead, The Bloc is focused on bold, intentional growth. We are expanding our reach, strengthening our infrastructure, and forging new partnerships to deepen our impact across the region. This next chapter includes exciting developments such as the launch of our Youth Committee, which is amplifying young voices and ensuring that youth-led perspectives directly shape our strategy and programming. We are also introducing Bloc Builders, an innovation workshop series designed by youth, for youth—creating dynamic spaces for collaboration, imagination, and collective action. At the heart of it all is our continued commitment to building spaces that foster authentic connection, creativity, and community across generations.
But none of this happens alone.
